About Patricia Leone
Pat's recent works celebrate the beauty she finds in sunrise walks along the intercostal waterway, a loved one's smile, and the camaraderie of siblings. Through the darker themes of her early works, the beauty is in the poignancy of the last exhausted effort to escape, the sad eyes of the seductress, and the vacant stares of the downtrodden. Her chakra mandalas are the result of many pleasurable hours designing them with the Spirodoodle app for Ipad. She uses them regularly in her yoga practice. After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts from Denver University, Pat took night classes in information technology and taught arts and crafts in Richmond, Virginia. Mid-career, she accepted a software engineer position in Atlanta. Although it left little time for her painting, application design and development proved a fascinating and challenging outlet for an entirely different kind of creativity. In retirement, her sunrise walks along the intracoastal waterway in Thunderbolt, Georgia, and her late boyfriend’s request for a portrait triggered Pat’s metamorphosis into the artist she is today. Among her other pursuits are yoga, creating yoga youtube videos and meditation podcasts, and writing poetry and memoirs. Pat is currently on the second edit of "Pageland," a memoir about growing up as one of six siblings on Pageland, the family farm in Virginia. https://patricialeone.com https://leonapatrick.com
